Hi! I live in Mexico and I am planning to visit my uncle in Dallas, Texas, the US, next year. I'd also like to go to Austin or San Antonio for a few days. I like the outdoors, music, good food, friendly people, etc. Which city is a better choice Any other suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!
Rocker Posted: 17th May, 7:23 pm
I'm a musician and I live in Austin. I think the music here is the best in Texas. In fact, Austin is known as the “Live Music Capital of the World”. I can send you the names of some cool music clubs. We have fantastic restaurants here too.

Have you ever been in a submarine (潜艇) I got the chance to ride in one last month. It was while I was on holiday with my family on the west coast of America. Dad offered to take me on a submarine ride. My brother and sister were too young, so my mother played with them on the beach.
Our ride started at 11:30 am. I was the first one to enter the submarine. The space inside was tight (密封的), and I felt uncomfortable at first. But when I discovered there were big windows, I felt relaxed. Then the door closed, and we went down under the water. Some divers (潜水员) came down with the submarine and fed the fishes right outside the windows. The fishes would be too scared ( 恐惧的) to come near the submarine if the divers didn't give them food! We got to see lots of fishes.
As we went a bit deeper, we saw a shark (鲨鱼). It came right up to the windows of the submarine. The guide said it was small and it wouldn't hurt us, but it looked pretty huge and scary to me!
As we arrived at the bottom of the sea, we saw an old plane. The guide told us its history and a moving story about it.
I went out of the submarine at 1:40 pm. Going for a submarine ride is one of the best things I've ever done. If we go to the coast again for our next holiday, I'll take another submarine ride.

At the end of every school term, most of the old textbooks are thrown away. This is a big waste of money and paper.
I think it's meaningful to reuse old textbooks. Here are my reasons. First, some old textbooks are suitable for recycling, such as music, arts, and science textbooks. That's because we students don't have to take notes in them. Second, it is good for the environment. If we reuse these old textbooks, people needn't cut down more trees to make paper. Third, it can help our parents save a lot of money. Because we only use our textbooks for one term, there is no need to spend a lot of money buying new ones.
