Too many people want others to be their friends, but they don’t give friendship back.
That is why some friendships don’t last very long. To have a friend, you must learn to treat your friend the way you want your friend to treat you. Learning to be a good friend means learning three rules: be honest; be generous(慷慨的); be understanding.
Honesty is where a good friendship starts. Friends must be able to trust one another. If you don’t tell the truth, people usually find out. If a friend finds out that you haven’t been honest, you may lose your friend’s trust. Good friends always count on(期望) one another to speak and act honestly.
Generosity means sharing and sharing makes a friendship grow. You don’t have to give your lunch money or your clothes, of course. Instead you have to learn how to share things you enjoy, like your hobbies and your interests. Naturally you will want to share your ideas and feelings. These can be very valuable to a friend. They tell your friend what is important to you. By sharing them, you help your friend know you better.
Sooner or later everyone needs understanding and help with a problem. Something may go wrong at school. Talking about the problem can make it easier to solve. Turning to a friend can be a first step in solving the problem. So to be a friend you must listen and understand. You must try to put yourself in your friend’s place so you can understand the problem better.
No two friendships are ever exactly alike. But all true friendships have three things in common. If you plan to keep your friendships, you must practice honesty, generosity and understanding.
34.Some friendships don’t last very long because ________.

Has a person ever warmly held a door open for you How do you feel after playing with friends And what would you say is your favourite family memory These questions have one thing in common: they’re all about connecting with people. “Let’s Connect” is the theme of this year’s Children’s Mental (心理的) Health Week. It improves mental health by building healthy social connections.
Humans naturally connect with others, whether that’s family, friends or people in our community. Healthy connections give people energy and support we all need people to celebrate and share our worries with. Social connections aren’t just about mental health; they improve physical health too, helping us to live a long life. Research suggests being lonely can slowly harm your health. Humans’ need for connection is different from person to person, but what’s important is not how many relationships you have, but how good your relationships are.
Then how to connect with others “You can reach out and connect with people in so many different ways,” says Julia Clements of Place2Be, the organizer behind Children’s Mental Health Week. You can connect in person or online, with your friends, parents, teachers or classmates. It’s not just people, either. “Some people feel connected with their pets or in nature,” says Clements. She advises making time to build more connections through actions as well as words. Being kind, listening to others and trying new experiences are all good tools.
Everybody may feel lonely sometimes and refuse to talk to others. Keep in mind that connections change—some become stronger, while others stop. “Remember that there are always people that care for you,” advises Clements. She says it’s important to tell someone you trust about how you are feeling, or safe organizations such as Childline or Shout. They can help, whether you’re looking to form new connections or repair a strained (紧张) relationship that is important to you.

A.teachers B.parents C.children D.doctors

A teenager needs to have a sense of independence in his life. To some teenagers, independence means a lot to them, and I think that some parents don’t allow their teenagers enough independence.
Independence has something to do with freedom. Some kids are not allowed to go anywhere alone, and the only thing that they always do is going to school, coming home, going to sleep, and repeating the process the next day. It’s possible that parents are afraid that their kids can get hurt if they go outside into the world. But if parents control their kids too much, they may never learn to live on their own. The best way for a teenager to grow up is through experience.
Teenagers’ lack of freedom can also stop them from having good friendship at school. Some might say that this is a good thing, because it helps them focus more on their schoolwork. But I argue that this can only make them not do their schoolwork actively. And some parents are afraid that their children are into trouble, Isn’t this a good reason for parents to get their children a mobile phone Mobile phones allow teenagers to keep in touch with their parents, and communicate better with their friends.
Privacy (隐私) is another problem between parents and their teenagers. Teenagers prefer to enjoy relaxation by themselves in their own room. This also gives them a sense of independence. It often worries teenagers when their parents enter their room when they are not at home. I know that my mom always goes in my room when I’m not at home, and I have asked many times to get a lock on my door.
42.Why does the writer hope to have her door locked
A.Because she needs to protect herself. B.Because she needs to protect her things.
C.Because her father always reads her diary. D.Because her mother always enters her room.
43.What does the underlined word “lack” most probably mean in Chinese
44.What is the main idea of the second paragraph
A.Teenagers need to grow up through experience. B.Some parents allow their kids no freedom.
C.Kids know how to live independently. D.Kids have a boring life every day.
45.What can we know from the passage
A.It is unnecessary for a kid to have a mobile phone.
B.Parents should allow their teenagers enough privacy.
C.Parents should not allow their teenagers enough independence
D.Good friendships between kids are harmful to their schoolwork

Have you had a headache during a test Have you ever been so worried about something that you have a headache or even can’t sleep well at night If so, then you know what stress is. Stress is a feeling when you are worried about something. Too much worry in your mind may make you feel uncomfortable. It can even make your body feel bad or give you a stomachache or a headache. Stress can influence both your mind and body.
However, there are different kinds of stress. Some kinds of stress are good and others are bad. Good stress might happen when you’re called to answer questions in class or when you have to give a speech. This kind of stress can help you to get things better done. For example, you may do a better job in your test if the stress pushes you to prepare better before the test.
On the other hand, bad stress can happen if the stress lasts too long. You may not feel well if your parents are fighting, if a family member is sick, if you’re having problems at school, or if anything else makes you unhappy every day. This kind of stress isn’t going to help you. And it can actually make you sick.
The best way to face the stress is to have a balanced life. Make sure you keep yourself in mind: sleep, exercise, leisure (休闲), and food. If you get enough sleep and eat healthily, and if you exercise and leave time for fun, you’ll probably feel less stressed.

根据“MP4 as a birthday present”可知,此处表泛指“一个MP4”故要用不定冠词a或an,由于MP4是以元音音素开头,故要用不定冠词an,故排除选项A和D。
in“在…… 的”;about“关于,大约”;at“在……
had better do sth. It’s better to do sth.表示更好做某事,否定形式在to前面加not,所以第二空填not to have。故选B。
4.A
stayed up熬夜;put up张贴; got up起床;caught up追上。根据“Tony is still in bed. ”可知他还在床上,又根据“Last night he...late to watch the final of the World Cup. 故选A。
5.A
that无实际意义;whether是否;weather天气;if是否。
本空前有be,构成“be worth sth.”
分析句子可知,此句为宾语从句,句中缺宾语,指代物,所以用what引导;根据“But the music is really beautiful.”
argue with和……争吵;deal with处理;do with对付,处理;come up with想出。根据“Many students don’ t know how to ... stress and become worried.
11.A
be strict with sb对某人严格;be strict in sth对某事严格。 故选A。
12.C
13.A
What about+动词-ing,You’d better+动词原形为陈述句形式,Why don’t +主语+动词原形+其它?
15.A
Don’t mention it别客气;Why so grateful为什么如此感激;For what为了什么;Forget it算了。根据“I am really grateful for your help.” 故选A。
16.A 17.D 18.B 19.C 20.B 21.D 22.A 23.C 24.C 25.B 26.A 27.D 28.C 29.A 30.B
