Dear Isaac,
I’m writing to tell you some basic information about our Dance Club.
The club was founded the year before, when there were only about 20 members in total and
they practiced every Saturday afternoon. Now it has developed a lot. We, about 50 members, meet
three times a week, among which a professional dancer will teach us to live at least once. And we
are always invited to perform in public during holidays, like the Spring Festival.
By the way, we are going to put on a performance about classical dance. Were you interested in
the activity, we would be very glad to see you this Friday afternoon.
Yours,
Li Hua

I watched the line circle around the lake. When Grandpa began pulling the line back, a smile

pole’s line back. And then, his favorite black fishing pole started coming out of the depths of the
lake! I couldn’t believe it! As he kept bringing the green pole’s line back, he noticed a sudden strong
pull on the end of the line. He pulled it very slowly.
Then, we saw the green pole’s hooks catch the black pole and also a fish! Grandpa and I
couldn’t help laughing. After we calmed down, we carefully pulled out the fish and also the black

Welcome Mark.
M: Thanks. Hello, I’m Mark Johnson. I wanted to talk to you about some of the benefits of parks.
Have you been to River Park

M: Good. You’ve got some benefits from going there. I’d like to go into more details now and talk
about our research. You know, the most common reason that people go to the park is for exercise,
right
W: Yes. I can see people walk, jog, or play ball games there.
M: Actually, the best exercise for most people is walking. Recently, the research in the Netherlands
and Japan found that people who live near parks as good places to walk were healthier than other
people. You know, high blood pressure was less common among people who walked, and they
were less likely to be overweight. Besides, a recent study in Chicago showed that crime falls
when there are more green spaces.
