Do you believe that your pet fish are able to identify (辨认) your face from many other human faces “Yes, it is right,” said scientists from the UK and Australia. They made a study of the archerfish (喷水鱼).
You can find archerfish all the way from India to Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia. They can shoot water at their prey (猎物), and they do it by changing the shapes of their mouths. The flying insects fall into the water, and it’s just the right place. The archerfish are waiting there to eat them up.
The team began by showing four archerfish the pictures of two human faces. In the beginning, the fish shot water at both. However, they soon learned that if they shot the face that researchers asked them to, they could get some food. After that they concentrated mainly on that face. The scientists then made a further study by adding 44 other human faces to the mix.
To the scientists’ surprise, the archerfish in the study were able to recall the learned face almost 81% of the time. Now the scientists know how smart the fish are!
Identifying a human face is not an easy thing. As we all know, humans’ faces have something in common-two eyes, one nose and one mouth. For animals, the differences are not clear. But a few animals have this special skill like archerfish, such as horses, cows, dogs, monkeys and bees.

A.By shooting water at their prey. B.By changing the shapes of their bodies.

A.Because they could shoot water at both human faces.
B.Because they could catch prey by shooting water.
C.Because they could stop shooting water.
D.Because they could shoot the face the researchers asked them to.
61.What’s the best title for the text
A.Archerfish can really remember B.What can archerfish do
C.Where archerfish live D.The living habits of archerfish

①My daughter gave me an address book for my birthday. She knows the one I have is old. The gift is lovely: the cover is colourful, and the pages are white. But I don’t feel like I am free to use this new address book because I’m still tied to my old one.
②My address book tells my own story—the way I moved around. Names were added in different colours from different periods of my life. When I moved back home to Niagara, my address book included the old information I needed in order to be able to get in touch with some of my old friends again.
③There are certainly stories of friendships in this book—the comings and goings of my friends. Their address has been corrected again and again, filling up one line after another. I have started using pencil for some of them because they are taking up too much space! Some friends went on to marry(结婚) each other. For such things, I used arrows (箭头) to show how these two families had become one. Children’s names were added one by one. Then some got their own lines as they moved out.
④This book also includes the stories of my family—two generations(一代人) of relatives. I can remember all their phone numbers, and I can picture their houses in detail. Some have died, but their addresses are still there in my book.
⑤“Don’t you have all that on your phone ” My daughter, who never uses address books, asked me once when she saw me checking my address book. I know that having it on a phone is super useful and can save a lot of trouble. But making changes on a phone is always done completely. When you don’t see a person any more, you delete (删除) all his information. It’s like he was never there.
⑥My old address book now sits on top of the new one. The magnet(磁铁) on its cover is as strong as ever, keeping all the people from A to Z in order. But my new address book whispers a story of new possibilities(可能). It offers me space for those new friends that I haven’t met yet. I’ll get to it. It’s just a matter of time.
62.The old information in the old address book can help the writer ________.
A.move back home to Niagara B.connect with old friends again
C.move around the world D.make more new friends
63.The writer drew arrows in his address book when ________.
A.two strangers became friends
B.two friends became husband and wife
C.a friend of hers gave birth to a child
D.a friend of hers moved to a new place
64.What can we infer(推断) from the last paragraph
A.The writer doesn’t like the new address book.
B.The writer will start to use the new address book soon.
C.The writer has decided to throw her old address book away.
D.The writer decides to put all her friends’ information into a phone.
65.What is the proper structure of the passage
A.①—②③④⑤—⑥ B.①②③—④—⑤⑥
C.①②—③④—⑤⑥ D.①—②③④—⑤—⑥
